This unit will do the job for you and the price is decent. However, if you are using it with a Golflogix 8, you will need to drill a 5/8 inch hole in the back of the device. That is because the golflogix has a button on the back which is used to connect to a belt clip if you wear it on a belt. When you insert it into this holder, it will not fit because of this button.
I called this to the attention of the manufacture and apparently they do have the proper bracket for the golflogix, but they were not very helpful in getting this straightened out for me. From what I understand however, you may have a better bracket by drilling a hole in the back of this one than getting the correct bracket.
