Used on 4 pairs of shoes. Was able to break most of the spikes free, but had to use pliers on some and destroy the spike in the process. I'm not sure if it was because of embedded dirt causing increased friction or other reasons, but the tool was not able to keep a grip on the holes in these few spikes to break them free.
