These are the 4th type of permanent golf tee I've tried and they're the best. I've tried brush type tees, zero friction type tees, and unbreakable plastic type tees and these easily top all those tee types. I've been whacking away at these things for over a month now and have still only used 3 tees, one of each size. Everything breaks eventually but these have lasted by far the longest. My girlfriend bought me these clubs for my birthday after I dropped some not to sneaky hints. So far they have worked wonderfully. I had been using my friend's father's clubs, and he was quite a bit taller then I am. I did some research and figured that these clubs would be a good fit for me and my game. I have taken them out to the driving range a few times, and played a few rounds with them, and my score automatically dropped 10 strokes!

In the set you get a 460cc driver with the square design. The larger face and square design make for a very forgiving club. I had abandoned the older driver I was using because I just could not control what the ball would do, but now I feel much more confident in my swing. I have topped the ball many times, and have not had it dent, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that the same thing doesn't happen to me as some of the other reviewers.

The 3 wood is also very forgiving, and easy to hit out of the fairway. I really like the 3/4 Hybrid so far, and it is definitely easier to hit then a 3 iron.

The irons in this set are great. The wide sole has really helped. I used to just blade the ball and send it rolling 25 yards. Now I can take a divot and get the ball really moving down the fairway.

The putter is a blade putter, and I have been able to make a few more putts with it then I had with the older equipment I was using.

Each club comes with great grips that feel very comfortable in your hands. The putter grip is designed differently and makes me feel like I can really control what I am trying to do.

The bag is decent. The pockets seem awkward. Some are to small, and one of them seems to offer no function at all as it opens from the bottom? However, the backpack straps and padding where the bag rests against your back are very comfortable. It has four longer dividers, and four one club dividers, with fabric running down the length of the longer dividers to keep your clubs from tangling in each other.

Over all the set has worked out better then I could have imagined. I first thought the set looked kind of cheap from the pictures, but they are much better looking in real life. Once you offset the package with a 5 wood, Sand Wedge, and Lob Wedge, you have a very good almost complete set that a beginning golfer will use for years to come. Forgan of St Andrews Golf Club IWD IV mallet PUTTER Review

I got this putter based mostly on how it looked, since I didn't get the chance to try it out before purchasing. I figured if it wasn't good, I'd try a different putter, but I was looking for a new mallet-style putter with good sight lines and a heavy feel, and this one looked like it meant business. I love the feel, it's quite heavy but you still get relatively good feedback on it. It has great sight lines along the top, so you can be sure you've got the right line for your putt. Overall, I think this club is a great confidence-booster and, hopefully, just as good a performance-booster.

Oh, and a minor note: When I opened the box that the club came in, I was a bit surprised that the club did not look "brand spankin' new" without any stickers or tags or anything, just plastic wrap over the club head. However, after close inspection, it appears this club was never used at all.

UPDATE: Been using this putter for a month now, played 3 rounds with it, and I'm really happy. It's saving me strokes. It has a lot of feedback, I think, for a mallet putter, but still a strong punch. Makes a beautiful "tink" sound upon impact. The ionized black finish is wearing down in some areas around the edge, so if that's going to be something that bothers you, take it into consideration. I picked up the X-22 8-club graphite iron set, and so far very pleased with them. It arrived quickly with standard shipping and I was out on the driving range the next day. This would be an excellent product but uses the wrong plastic for the base which holds the tee. If you hit the base (as I did on my second drive), it will shatter and make the device useless.

Based on experience with similar products, a normal solid head, not petals, is needed to prevent fatigue and breakage after several hundred strikes.

Marketing should emphasize that the short anchor is also used as a short tee for irons or woods. This allows this one piece to handle all drive shots.

I don't believe the frictional / impact effects will lengthen my drive. However, using one tee for hundreds of drives appeals to my "Green" instincts - especially at the driving range where I have used similar devices for hundreds and hundreds of shots without damage and without wasting / breaking hundreds of tees.

Also, I like the idea of having a single piece of equipment in my pocket to use for all drives - not dealing with dozens of tees.

Oakley Men's Servodrive Golf Shoe Review

I've long been a fan of Oakley eyewear and other accessories, so I gave these a try. I was a bit skeptical because they're not really a shoe company, but they designed these well.

The spikes they come with are a pretty big upgrade from my decade-old Dexters, both in terms of performance and ease of upgrading. They just use the same spikes that are now standard, so you can buy pretty much any leading set.

The shoe is not the most comfortable, but it is comfortable. Certainly more than any other shoe in it's price range. I've tried some FootJoy's on that cost twice as much that I would say are more comfortable, but overall I'm happy saving a Benjamin.

The construction feels solid. They give you real shoestrings in stead of those thin laces a lot of golf shoes come with. They're sufficiently long to tie in a double not, but not so long that you're then tripping over them.
