I have had other SkyGolf GPS range finders, and in each instance have had difficulty linking them with my computer for registration, updates, course downloads, membership payments, and the like. However, nothing compares to the mess SkyGolf has created with the SGX. It is nearly impossible to "sync" and when you finally get that done you will find many features don't work. Not to fear - there is an update. But, I can't get the device to "sync" with my computer so no access to the update. Finally, technical support is a joke. The product has so many flaws that people have clogged the phone lines trying to get the darn thing to work. Waits of 2 hours or more on hold are not unheard of -- check their forums.
